For nine days, we were in the fog. Cotton batting thick, quiet world. In the end, it was getting to be a bit much.
Glad to say that the sun broke through, and here are some images to prove it!

That island in the distance is Pender Island. The white fluff in the sky is more fog bits, being blown over our house, and across Plumper Sound, to go pile up on the foggy patch across the water. That day, the fog was fighting back! Gathering up some more, to take back the day.
Above: a close up of brave sailors, getting away from the fog on Pender Island. Making a break for it.
Many of our friends have also made a break for it. They have gone South. I can understand that: I would like to dip my toes in some warm water, and feel sand between my toes too... Sigh.

Hi Andree,
I noticed from your blogs and photos that you are often out in nature and that you appreciate rare species. You might be interested in visiting our website, www.goert.ca, as we have lots of photos of native species, tips on starting native plant gardens, and best practices for removing invasive plants. If you like our website, perhaps you would mention it to the other women who walk, please? Word of mouth is very effective for us in getting people to visit the site and it is often artists who tell us they like the site.
If you visit Victoria you would be welcome to drop by our little office at Government and Courtney and see some of the pieces we have on display. Just call first because sometimes all of us are out at meetings at the same time.

A lifeline for our rarest species.
Thanks, Betsy!
I've added your website to my "interesting links" list, both on this blog, and on the Women Who Walk blog.
